Never have a loaded firearm in a motor vehicle. In fact, it is against the
law. It must have an empty chamber, better yet, why not keep all rifles
and shotguns completely unloaded and actions open while in or on any motor
vehicle, and same goes for camp.

To leave baby animals alone? They are not abandoned; their
mother’s are usually close by. It is against the law to take a deer or antelope
fawn.

With pheasants, only roosters are legal, so be sure your target is not a tan colored hen before you squeeze the trigger.

Any hunter who hunts migratory birds including doves, sucks, cranes, and
geese is required to be certified in the Harvest Information Program (HIP)

Killing a migratory raptor is a violation of the U.S. Migratory Bird Treaty Act.

Hunter safety cards are required if you were born after 1949. Most states
including Colorado accept other states safety hunter cards to hunt legally
in their state.

If you are 16 or older, you need waterfowl stamps to hunt waterfowl in Colorado.
A #15 Federal Migratory Bird Hunting Stamp or Duck Stamp and A #5 Colorado
Waterfowl Stamp. You also must buy a small game hunting license.
